Someone asked me the other day where was my favorite place to kill an afternoon. A flood of responses instantly came to mind. The most immediate smile arose from my thought of bookstores.
In the Northwest, where I’m from originally, bookstores provide shelter from the drizzle and cold and supply an endless number of adventures. Having cultivated a love for the musty, dusty stacks and the sweet smell of paper, I try to find a bookstore of note whenever my travels allow. To date these are my favorites.
