Movie: Last Tango in Paris

This film is principally known for its sexual controversy since it’s mired with racy sex scenes. The story is about an American expat living in Paris whose French wife commits suicide. Tormented by her death he spontaneously begins a relationship with a young woman in which both meet at an apartment he leases. The primary rule is that no names are shared. This is a psychodrama showing Brando at his best. The characters are layered and complicated driving them together in a caustic situation. If you’re cerebral you’ll probably like this movie.
